Contract Number: F33600-01-D-1025-0100
Government Organization Supported: National Air and Space Intelligence Agency (NASIC)
Primary Work Location: Huntsville, Alabama – Zone 4
Work Performed:
Radiance personnel has been providing range support since 1995 with our most recent effort focused on the Mobile Ground Based Radar. Phase I of this effort started in 2004 and was completed in 2006 while phase III is expected to start in 2007. During this program, Radiance provided instrumentation support to the range measurement facilities in preparation for future performance testing requirements. In working with the range maintenance and test personnel, Radiance developed both hardware and software instrumentation techniques enabling the analysts to collect data while exercising platforms and systems. Key parameters, such as radar beam position, plot data, command post data, and jamming parameters, were identified and documented for instrumentation. As part of the effort, Radiance developed a real-time MATLAB/Simulink model of the radar receiver of sufficient fidelity to support the underlying software and performance test requirements. Radiance also tested the datalinks between the radar and any associated systems, including command posts, target tracking and fire control radars.
Functional Area Lead:
