Dayton, OH – Radiance Technologies has been awarded a prime contract on DARPA’s Configuration Security (ConSec). The ConSec program seeks to develop a system to automatically generate, deploy, and enforce configurations of components and subsystems for use in military platforms. These configurations should address system vulnerabilities and minimize attack surfaces while maintaining expected functionality and performance. By viewing each individual component’s configuration as elements of the composed system’s behavior and security, more secure configurations can be developed and deployed to enhance security without requiring new software development or large hardware changes.

“Radiance is excited to be supporting DARPA on this critical program to protect our nation’s military systems from sophisticated cyber threats,” said Dr. Ken Edge, Vice President of the Simulation and Exploitation Operation at Radiance Technologies.

Radiance, and their subcontractor, QED Secure Solutions, will seek to develop and automate techniques to discover vulnerabilities in complex systems of systems. Dr. Ken Edge will lead the 42-month effort out of Radiance’s Beavercreek, OH office and Dr. Jonathan Butts will lead QED’s effort out of the Dallas, TX office.
