About Us

radiance-history-photo-collageRadiance began its operation March 15th 1999. Our goal in forming the company was to be employee-owned, work in a team environment, focus on technology, and be operationally relevant. We wanted our employees to be motivated, to share in the growth of the company, and have the flexibility to pursue opportunities of interest to them. Based on what we envisioned, Radiance has been a success.

George Clark, John Dennis, and Scott Dublin launched operations in a 3,000 square foot facility in Executive Plaza (Huntsville) with folding card tables and chairs as our office furniture and an initial subcontract supporting the U. S. Army SMDC through the NRC SETAC contract. By calendar year’s end, we had grown to 11 employees, achieved revenue of $1.2M, and had outgrown our initial office area. By the end of 2003 (our 5th year of operation), our revenue grew to $17+M and our employees to 117. We relocated our corporate headquarters to the current Wynn Drive location and opened a 3 building assembly, integration, and manufacturing complex on Commercial Drive. We had personnel in six states and two foreign countries.

Radiance finished 2015 with revenue of approximately $116.7M and we crossed the 500 employee threshold for the first time. Radiance has corporate facilities in nine states and project offices in fourteen states and one foreign country. Our intelligence activities have grown to represent 40% of our business base. Awards garnered over the past 17 years include the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Region IV Prime Contractor of the Year for 2007, the 2006 Huntsville/Madison County Technology Small Business of the Year, and three years on the INC Magazine’s list of the 500 fastest growing, privately held small businesses in the U.S. In 2011 we received a Tibbetts Award from the Small Business Administration for improving technology in a defense project while keeping costs down.

Our phenomenal growth and the success we have enjoyed are directly attributable to our employees – still our most important asset.
