Our second grant of the season is a $5,000 grant to Still Serving Veterans for their VA Benefit Support Program.

Still Serving Veterans prepares transitioning members of the military and Veterans to secure civilian careers that meet their goals and desires; helps Veterans navigate the complicated VA Benefit System in order to secure all VA benefits earned as a result of military service; and provides support for Veterans facing a crisis.

Through its VA Benefit Support Program, SSV’s certified VSO counselors guide clients through the complicated VA benefit application process while providing personal care and attention. At any given time, the VA Benefit Team is working with approximately 1,000 veterans.

During our visit, Ms. Debbie Joyner presented Radiance Employee-Owner, Radiance Gives 2022 Chair, and Air Force Veteran SMSgt (ret) Eric Macke with a letter from a local elementary child thanking him for his service.
